Biography

Rhonda Levy Rhonda Levy's academic and professional accomplishments have been considerable. In 1981, she received a Bachelor of Arts with Great Distinction from McGill University (Montreal, Quebec). While earning her B.A., McGill designated Rhonda a University Scholar based on her strong academic performance. In 1985, Rhonda graduated with Honours from McGill's Faculty of Law. On several occasions throughout her academic career, Rhonda was awarded the James McGill Scholarship for high academic achievement.

In addition to being qualified to practice law in Canada in the Province of Ontario, in the United States Rhonda also passed the Bar Examination for the State of New York.

Rhonda's own experience with infertility left her with a burning desire to help others avoid the heartache of the long and painful experience that she endured. Since she became an Infertility Consultant in 1998, Rhonda has been able to become an insider in the world of assisted reproduction. She maintains close relationships with world-class reproductive endocrinologists and embryologists and enjoys access to them at all times. These relationships enable Rhonda to stay up-to-date on all of the field's developments as they occur. Rhonda's deep understanding of the world of assisted reproduction enables her to conduct a strong comparative analysis of patient options. She possesses a rare and sophisticated insight into the subtleties and nuances that, understandably, are not readily apparent to patients as they try desperately to navigate their way through this daunting and complex world.

Rhonda has now worked with thousands of infertile men and women throughout the world. Her professional background as a lawyer and her first hand experience negotiating her own way through treatment positions her well to advocate vigorously on her clients' behalves and to ensure that they are empowered to become their own best advocates as they make their way through the maze.

Rhonda has been recognized as an expert in the field. She has lectured at the American Fertility Association's annual educational symposium on infertility and adoption in new York City, speaking on the subject, "How to Choose a Fertility Clinic".

Rhonda is frequently invited by the media to share her opinions on issues in the world of assisted reproduction and to discuss the challenges faced by those who experience infertility. She has been featured in front-page articles in national newspapers and magazines and has also been featured on national television. In addition, Rhonda attends international conferences and seminars on the topic of the assisted reproductive technologies and has produced some of her own seminars.

In addition to working as an Infertility Consultant, Rhonda also practices law at the Toronto office of Ogilvy Renault LLP, an elite law firm with extremely high standards. Established in 1879, Ogilvy Renault's dedication to excellence has earned it an enviable reputation, both nationally and internationally. Its clients include some of the largest and most successful corporations in Canada and abroad. As a member of the firm's Business Law Group, Rhonda conducts legal research in all areas of the firm's common law practice. She prepares complex reasoned legal opinions and provides advice to clients and other lawyers of the firm. She also prepares legal argument for litigation.
